The display and processing of digital images from a sector-scanning sonar

A high-resolution, within-pulse, sector-scanning sonar, developed at the Admiralty Research Laboratory, was first reported in 1955. Since that time experience with sector-scanning sonar has established the technique as an important underwater imaging tool. [Continues.]
