The review of this thesis describes palladium catalysed allylic amination in the context of the mechanism and synthetic utility. Examples of alkene geometry, regioselectivity and net retention have been illustrated as a consequence of the amination mechanism. The synthetic aspects of palladium catalysed allylic amination consists of other examples of the formation of enantiomerically enriched allylic amines and amino acids. [Continues.]
