Data on body composition, resting metabolic rate (RMR) and physical fitness was obtained on a group of Papua New Guineans undergoing rapid acculturation between September 1985 and June 1986. The population comprised 233 males representing the Wopkaimin, Ningerum and Awin ethnic groups. [Continues.]
