A study of novel steroidal polymers
thesis
posted on 2018-05-10, 15:00 authored by Carol M. LawrenceThe incorporation of steroidal monomers into main chain polymers has been used to investigate their
potential as mesogenic groups.
Copolymers have been produced from a range of steroid diol monomers coupled with flexible spacer
groups from a series of diacid chlorides with the general formula ClCO(CH2)nCOCl where n=2 to n=12. [Continues.]
