This case study has been developed from data gathered through interviews with the tutor, a student focus group and observation of the competition event. This case study reviews a year long, group-work project module: EI007 Engineering Design – Human Powered Off Road Vehicle (HPORV) at Harper Adams University College (HAUC). The aim of the module is for student teams to design and manufacture vehicles that ultimately are tested in a competitive, multi-trial event on a challenging off road course.
