dissimilar coating, there is the potential for delamination or blister formation at the interface.
The adhesion of PET to poly(vinylidenechloride) (pVdC), as experienced in this study, is
therefore critical to the stability of the coating layer. PET bottles were coated with water-based
emulsion copolymers with PVdC as the main copolymer constituent Laboratory-scale
polymerizations of PVdC were undertaken to investigate the importance of latex and polymer properties on the rate and extent of crystallisation. [Continues.]
