Control of a simple capacitor-compensated power system subject to subsynchronous resonance and low damping

distance transmission systems, use has been made of series capacitors and high-speed
excitation systems. Unfortunately, their use has resulted in sub synchronous
resonance (SSR) and reduced machine damping. [Continues.]
