Kinetic studies of electrical storage cells

The thesis describes an investigation of the kinetics of certain electrochemical energy storage systems. The work mainly involves A.C. impedance measurements made over a wide frequency range on some primary and secondary cells. In a number of cases this was sufficient to establish the electrochemistry and evaluate the magnitudes of the circuit elements of the analogue for the cell. In some other cases (secondary cells) the electrode behaviours of anode and cathode had to be established in order to produce the composite cell behaviours. [Continues.]
