Abstract: The voltammetry of several substrates and their hydrolysis products for the enzyme alkaline phosphatase (E.C. 3.1.3.1.) were investigated and theophylline-alkaline phosphatase (TH-AP) conjugates were synthesized in order to develop a flow injection electrochemical enzyme immunoassay (FIEEIA) for the antiasthmatic therapeutic drug theophylline.
