Abstract: This research work deals with the development of the shearbox apparatus by introducing a micro-computer to automatically collect all the results, and to apply normal and shear stresses. A continuous statement of time, channel number, and transducer input and output is produced for each test, the sequences of applied rates of displacement and normal stresses for which were programmed.
