Title: The effect of calcium carbonate fillers on fusion and properties of rigid PVC
Authors: Plaskett, Amanda M.
Issue Date: 1989
Publisher: © A.M. Plaskett
Abstract: Although the addition of fillers both coated and uncoated to PVC compounds is now commonplace, research into their role in the fusion process and subsequent end product properties is limited. Thus five grades of natural calcium carbonate filler of varying particle size were incorporated into a simple rigid PVC pipe formulation by dry blending and then extrusion on a twin screw extruder.
