Title: Developing a design specification for a computer-based embedded trainer for a navigation aid
Authors: Humphries, Susan
Issue Date: 1991
Publisher: © Susan Humphries
Abstract: The thesis describes the design of a computer-based training system embedded in a navigation aid. Significantly, the range of techniques considered included so-called "intelligent" methods which allow more flexibility than conventional computer-based training techniques. Although the actual design of the training system was a desired outcome, the process was carried out with two more general objectives. One objective was to explore the advantages and disadvantages of embedded training systems. The other was to address the problem of how computer-based training systems may be designed in a methodical fashion. [Continues.]
