Data transmission over ADPCM links
thesis
posted on 2017-11-13, 11:45 authored by Shibab A. JimaaThe thesis is concerned with serial data transmission at a rate of 9600 bit/sec over a
telephone channel containing a 32 kbit/sec Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation
(ADPCM) link , which has been proposed by CCITT as an international standard. The
transmitted data signal is a 2400 band 16-level Quadrature Amplitude Modulated
(QAM) signal. The ADPCM link introduces time-varying and at times severe nonlinear
distortion into the data signal. [Continues.]
