study has been made of the effect of chemically vapour deposited titanium
nitride (TiN) plus titanium carbide (TiC) multilayer coatings on the
cutting performance of powder metallurgy (PM) BT42 grade high speed
steel (HSS) inserts, in comparison to that of single layer TiN and TiC
coatings, on the basis of equal coating thickness. [Continues.]
