A series of batch sorption, diffusion and column experiments was used to investigate the effect that material naturally present in groundwater, and the organic ligands EDTA and acetate, had on the sorption of radionuclides onto glacial sediment. Detailed investigations were carried out with Iodine and Cobalt. Preliminary sorption studies with Caesium, Strontium, Neptunium and Europium were also undertaken. [Continues.]
