Abstract: This paper will critically assess how the GoSS is tackling the challenge of providing improved water supplies and sanitation and hygiene awareness both through funding mechanisms such as the Multi Donor Trust Fund for Southern Sudan and from funding through other donors like USAID and the European Union. The paper will look at how the $86m MDTF is being implemented and the drawbacks that this funding mechanism is facing.
