Abstract: The Austrian funded Kitgum Town Water Supply Rehabilitation and Extension Project started 1998 with the technical rehabilitation of the existing system. The aim was to provide a sustainable water supply system for the town. After implementation of this part of the project it was agreed to add two more project phases concentrating on extension of the system, improvement of sanitary facilities and improvement of the management of the system.
