The author's long standing interest in mechanical properties of elastomers, in particular Poisson's ratio and bulk modulus, is reflected in a number of published papers on aspects of theoretical and experimental work associated with these elastic constants. This compilation brings together the results of ten particular studies which have been central to the author's work on mechanical properties of elastomers. The presentation includes original technical reports in a sequence which reflects the logical development of the subject matter.
