Abstract: A geometrical-acoustics theory is derived for localized vibrational modes of an elastic solid wedge, or "wedge acousiic waves." Simple analytical expressions are derived for the phase velocities and displacement amplitudes of antisymmetric modes of an acute-angle wedge. The effect of deviarions of a real wedge from the ideal geometry, including the effect of edge curvaturg on the phase velocities of the wedge waves is analyzed.
