Abstract: This paper provides the background rationale for and description of a prototype culture tool, the Soft Factors Modelling Tool (SFMT), which is one of the outputs of a DTC-funded research project. Following an introduction, the paper considers several issues associated with autonomy and culture. A description of the researchers’ Soft Factors Modelling Tool’ and its application is provided.
